The historic World War I plane, Curtiss Jenny, will be making its final flight on Monday, September 29 th, at the Kickapoo Airport. The Curtiss Jenny was made in 1917, and is one of only three still flying in the world.

The Wichita Falls Fire Department is investigating a 2-alarm fire at Colony Park Apartments in the 4700 block of Taft Boulevard. 9 apartments have been affected by the fire and luckily, there were no injuries.

Falls Fest Preparations Underway

On Thursday, Wichita Falls Parks & Recreations crews began setting up tents, concert stages, lighting, booths and place garbage cans for the 29th Annual Falls Festival. The event takes place at Lucy Park on Saturday from 11 a.m. - 11 p.m. Newschannel 6 talked with Falls Fest steering committee members about Texoma's Best Festival and this year there are a couple of changes.

One man was rushed to the hospital Thursday night after running his truck into a tree. Wichita Falls Police say the driver was heading west on 9th Street around 8:30 p.m. when he grazed the side of a parked vehicle.

The Trinity Police Department is seeking an additional arrest warrant for one of the two Houston men who allegedly burglarized Lufkin's Beard's Fine Jewelers on Tuesday, along with the Lufkin Verizon store and businesses in Livingston, Crockett, Tyler, Longview, and Wichita Falls. Trinity Police Chief Steve Jones said his department is seeking an arrest warrant for Dequan Janeiro Rodgers, 19 on a felony burglary of a building charge.
