Reign of terror ended, but serial murder case continues

Residents of Wichita Falls, Texas were gripped in a reign of terror from 1984-86 when four women were brutally slaughtered by a man who has been stopped by law enforcement, yet his odyssey through the court system continues even today, according to an article in the Wichita Falls Times Record News today, Thursday, Dec. 12. Although convicted murdere r Farion Edward Wardrip has been locked up in a steel cage ever since Wichita County District Attorney's Office investigator John Little took him into custody in the late 1990s, the convicted murderer's case is still working its way through the court's appellate system.

Robert Brotherton , judge of the 30th District Court, in Wichita Falls, Tex., recently accepted a settlement agreement between the Wichita District Attorney's Office and a former Boys and Girls Club director, according to an article in December 9 Wichita Falls Times Record News . The settlement includes the defendant pleading guilty to the charges, being placed on probation and also making restitution to the Burkburnett Boys and Girls Club .
