19-Year-Old Arrested After Chase

Around 2:30 a.m. on Monday morning, officers with the Wichita Falls Police Department were dispatched to the 1600 block of Cimarron Trail in reference to a possible burglary of a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that he observed a man, who was later identified as 19-year-old Bo Billen standing by his vehicle with the driver's side door open.


Shots Fired Call Ends in Arrest

On April 10th around 11:00 p.m., officers with the Wichita Falls Police Department were in the area of 33rd and Travis investigating a possible shots fired call. While in the area, officers observed a male walking at a fast pace in a drainage ditch.

Because of this, the Chamber's Board of Directors unanimously voted to endorse upcoming the WFISD Bond that would fund the development of a new CTE Center in Wichita Falls.

A Wilbarger County man, who possessed methamphetamine with the intent to distribute it, was sentenced yesterday by U.S. District Judge Reed C. O'Connor to a lengthy federal prison term. 54-year-old Benny Dennis of Electra, Texas, was sentenced to 40 years in federal prison at a sentencing hearing held yesterday in federal court in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Viviano Nuncio, an Oklahoma man who was arrested in Wichita Falls, Texas last year for failing to register as a sex offender, was sentenced on Monday by U.S. District Judge Reed C. O'Connor to 72 months in federal prison. 50-year-old Viviano Nuncio was arrested on July 30, 2014, and he pleaded guilty in November 2014 to one count of failure to register as a sex offender.

The Quanah man arrested in a Wichita Falls motel for a double homicide outside Quanah has confessed to both murders, according to an affidavit filed by the Texas Rangers. Police arrested 30 year old Gary Andrew Callaway on a warrant for a separate charge, and then filed a capital murder charge.
