Emily Valverde is a proud parent of two and said her 13 year old son Gunner, along with his friend Justin were one of the many children forced out of a local kid oriented business during a tornado warning.

While a possible tornado threatened Wichita Falls, Plex management told everyone inside the building to wait outside until they could go home or be picked up. McCulloch says it was a miscommunication between himself and his staff that caused everyone who was inside the Plex to be forced outside during an active tornado warning.

Detectives with the Wichita Falls Police Department's Financial Crime Unit received information by Bexar County that 40-year-old resident of Arlington, Moises Reyes-Leal , is under investigation. The San Antonio PD, Texas Attorneys Office, and Ellis County Sheriffs Office are investigating Reyes-Leal for fraud related to scamming people with the promise of planning and holding their Quinceanera, and then fleeing after payment was made.

DPS troopers conducted a traffic stop on Saturday, May 16th along Highway 287, which yielded 150 pounds of marijuana valued at $910,000. Around 2:53 p.m. on Saturday a DPS trooper conducted a traffic stop on a 2012 Ford Taurus traveling eastbound on Highway 287 for a traffic violation near Wichita Falls.

MESQUITE - Mesquite ISD's Board of Trustees named David Vroonland, Ed.D., as the lone finalist for the district's superintendent position during a special meeting Monday. Vroonland is currently the superintendent in Frenship ISD, a district of more than 8,000 students and 12 campuses on the southwestern side of Lubbock County.
