Boy Almost Drowns In Hotel Pool
At 5:18 p.m. Wednesday, the Wichita Falls Police Department received a call about a four-year-old boy that nearly drowned in a pool at the La Quinta Inn located on Central Freeway. According to authorities, the boy came in the La Quinta hotel's pool with two family members, aged 14 and 17. They were not staying at the hotel as guests.

Man Dies in Drowning Incident
According to authorities, around 3:45 p.m., the Wichita Falls Police Department arrived to the scene of a possible drowning at a residence located in the 4400 block of Phillips Drive. Police say a group of people were having a pool party at a private residence when one of the subjects, 49-year-old Gilbert Contreras, became unresponsive in the pool.

Woman, 75, survived for days on pond water after Texas crash
