Around 2:40 p.m., the Wichita Falls Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 1000 block of Westerly Place. Officials say there were two people living at the house, though only one person was there at the time of the fire.

Beginning Wednesday morning, demolition work to the Huntington Bridge will close part of U.S. Highway 287. The closure will affect drivers going into Electra and Iowa Park, and going in and coming out of Wichita Falls.

A Wichita Falls man ended up in the Wichita County Jail after an incident that all began at a Wichita Falls nightclub. According to the arrest affidavit, police were dispatched to Denim and Diamonds shortly before 1 a.m. Friday morning to investigate an alleged assault of three women.

Man Charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child

An investigation that began in September of last year lead to the arrest of a Wichita Falls man who is now accused of one count of Indecency With a Child and four counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child. According to the arrest affidavit, the victim told investigators that Bowen had been doing the sexual abuse for the last two to two and a half years.
