Warming Up To Safety
As cold temperatures visit the area many Texomans will be cranking up the heat to stay warm, but be careful because a 2013 survey from the National Fire Protection Association shows 33 percent of home heating fires are due to space heaters. Winter Weather Plow Simulator
Starting Wednesday, snow plow drivers who work in Wichita Falls for the Texas Department of Transportation will get a chance to train for what it's like to drive in the treacherous winter weather before it hits Texoma. A state of the art simulator, similar to a video game, will be used by TxDOT to help drivers give a real feel for over 90 winter weather road scenarios.

Abduction Charges Dropped
According to Wichita Falls Police, the charges that initially filed against Romeo Paz, Jorge Rodriguez and Ishmael Debora have been dropped because the victims no longer want to press charges. On November 25th, the three men allegedly assaulted and abducted a victim, who they then questioned to find the location of a second victim who police said was also assaulted later that day.

Single Car Accident Takes A Twist
Shortly after midnight Friday, Wichita Falls police were called to Southwest Parkway and University Avenue for a single car accident. A female driver slammed into a tree as she swerved to avoid hitting a dog.

Suspect Evades Wichita Co. Sheriff's Deputies
The Wichita County Sheriff's Office is on the lookout for a suspect that evaded deputies late Sunday night. The incident occurred just before 10:00 p.m. It happened in the vicinity of 9th Street and Denver Street near the shut-down King's Grocery Store in Wichita Falls.
