Clay County Sheriff's Deputies have recovered the child kidnapped from their home on Ray Road just south of Dean on Wednesday. Deputies found the five-month-old girl with Billy Joe Pitchford at the Sun Valley Apartments in Wichita Falls just after 2 p.m. Just before 9 a.m. on Wednesday Clay County Deputies responded to a 911 call in the of a burglary in progress.

ERCOT, the not-for-profit organization operating the Texas electricity grid, wants to require some energy developers to notify the Department of Defense of upcoming projects before connecting to the power grid, according to testimony given in a legislative committee hearing in Wednesday. An official with the Electric Reliability Council of Texas proposed the rule change to the Texas House of Representatives Defense and Veterans Affairs committee in Wichita Falls, Texas where an air force base has become embroiled in a conflict with a local wind energy developer.

Half of Texas Child Protective Services' 10 regional directors are fired or retire

Half of the 10 people who run Texas Child Protective Services' regional offices have been fired or have retired, an agency spokesman confirmed Tuesday. George Cannata, who runs the North Texas or Region 3 office in Arlington, will keep the director job he was given last spring.
