Police report there has been an increase in financial crimes in Wichita Falls. The WFPD Financial Crimes Unit has seen a spike in all sorts of financial crimes, but their concerned with the large amount of counterfeit money that is going around the city.

"We're going to work this until this is resolved," Wichita Falls Police Chief Manuel Borrego said late Friday afternoon after two girls were shot in a normally quiet residential neighborhood in southwest Wichita Falls. The suspect was described as a white male, possibly between the ages of 16 and 18, with shaggy brown hair, possibly driving a black pickup truck.

WFPD have Kingston Dr. shooting suspect in custody
Wichita Falls Police are now confirming that they have a suspect in custody for Friday's shooting on Kingston Dr. Earlier on Sunday, Wichita Falls Police blocked off a section of road near the 5200 block of Tower Drive, behind Fountaingate apartments in Wichita Falls. Police were attempting to execute a search warrant for an apartment in that complex, and created a perimeter around the area.

Suspect on the run following shooting on Pennsylvania Road
Wichita Falls police are on the lookout for a man who tried to break into the home of his ex-girlfriend early Tuesday morning. Police responded to the 3000 block of Pennsylvania Road just after midnight, where witnesses told police a man tried to get into his ex-girlfriend's home by shooting the lock off the front door.
