Woman arrested on forgery charges

The Wichita Falls Police Department responded to a call in the 1700 block of 9th Street in reference to a possible forgery in progress. Once at the scene, Officers spoke with employees of the business who told them that 43-year-old Jerrie Syon attempted to pass a check in the amount of $2,300.

Nellie and Buckshot Boenig, along with family members and friends, helped Ellen Mae Boenig celebrate another milestone - her 111th birthday - at her home north of this city on Oct. 21. "Overall, she had a good time that day with all the people there," her son Buckshot Boenig said.

A Wichita Falls man and woman have been charged with injury to a child after three children reported being beaten, sometimes with a wooden paddle with zip ties wrapped around it, the Times Record News reported. Michael George Corey, 31, has been charged with three counts of injury to a child.

Newschannel 6 has learned that Helen Farabee Centers in Wichita Falls will be providing Early Childhood Intervention services in the Wichita Falls area. This comes after we reported back in June that North Texas Rehab Center discontinued their ECI services due to continued decreases in reimbursement, including the recent cuts to Texas Medicaid.

Wichita Falls Police Departments Crash Investigators need your help in locating a suspect vehicle involved in a fatality hit and run. Last night at approximately 9p.m. officers responded to the 3900 block of Iowa Park Rd. Once at the scene, they found 31-year-old Joseph Clark had been hit by a vehicle while in his wheelchair.
