WF city council grants fund for tuberculosis program
The Wichita Falls city council passed an ordinance Tuesday granting $23,449 dollars to the Health Department for their tuberculosis program. Lou Kreidler, Director of Health, said the annual federal grant helps the health department test for active cases in the area.

Board receives findings on new hotel study
After months of study a consultant group says it would be beneficial to have a hotel next to the MPEC. Gatehouse Capital, the company that Wichita Falls city leaders hired to study the feasibility on adding a hotel to the MPEC, presented their preliminary design and their findings for the to the 4B Tax Board on Wednesday.

Police arrested a 26-year-old man Saturday after two suspects restrained him as he was allegedly about to sexually assault a 7-year-old girl he had abducted, according to the Wichita Falls Times Record News . Raeshawn Perez now faces one count of aggravated kidnapping and one count of public intoxication.
