Texas man used reciprocating saw to sexually assault woman, police say
Police were called to a home in Henrietta on Dec. 23 where a woman reported that she had been sexually assaulted, reports the Wichita Falls Times Record News . She told police that she was gathering some of her belongings at the home of 59-year-old Joe Tombrell Huggins when she found methamphetamine in a bathroom, according to the affidavit.

Local shelters will not turn anyone away during freezing temps
Those who run the Salvation Army said their Emergency Shelter Dorm is expected to fill up, and they will not be turning anyone away. Those who depend on these shelters, like Randy Baird, said they are grateful to be able to escape the cold.

Jerome Williams sentenced to nine years prison for Burnett shooting
A Wichita Falls man will spend nine years behind bars for deadly conduct following a shooting last summer. A plea agreement was reached with Jerome Williams in the case dropping three of the four charges.

Wichita Falls ramp closure causes delays
Drivers experienced delays because of a bridge closure in Wichita Falls Tuesday. The bridge located at the I-44, U.S. 287 and Spur 325 interchange was shut down Tuesday at 8 a.m. The closure has caused some problems for drivers trying to get on U.S. 287 towards Vernon.

The Youth Opportunities Center in Wichita Falls received some much-needed financial help to meet their goals. The YOC was presented with a check for $10,000 by the YOC founder Dustin Austin and the director of "Our Country Homes" in the Metroplex.

New Changes to Texas Child Support
WICHITA FALLS, TX Texas' has a new law in place, cracking down on parents who are behind on child support payments. They also said us if you're behind on payments you'll receive a notice 90 days prior to the renewal date and a registration hold until a payment plan is arranged.

The Texas Pit Crew is a non-profit volunteer ran organization dedicated to eradicating animal cruelty to all breeds in Wichita and surrounding counties. While While they will help any animal in need that they can, they seek to promote the bully breed as the loving and loyal animals they are.

WFPD catch burglar in the act
WICHITA FALLS, Tx Wichita Falls police caught a suspected burglar in the act on Thursday leading to his arrest. The first incident began in the 2300 block of Duvall when a black male was witnessed by officers stop at a residence and walk to the front door and knock on the door.

A Freezing Rain Advisory has been issued for areas west and northwest of Wichita Falls late tonight into Friday for some period of very light freezing rain or drizzle. This will result in slick spots on bridges and overpasses.
