Choir Prepares to Perform with Foreigner

The Wichita Falls High School Acapella Choir will perform live on stage with the world known rock band, Foreigner at Memorial Auditorium on Feb. 7. The choir won the chance to perform through a radio contest with 104.7 the Bear. Vanessa Zurek is a senior with the chance to perform.

Teens from as far away as Dallas spent their Saturday in Wichita Falls, learning how to make a difference in their communities when it comes to tobacco. The Tobacco Prevention and Control Coalition with the Wichita Falls-Wichita County Health District hosted pre-teens and teens from north Texas for a day full of activities showing kids how to stay tobacco-free.

Currently, Texas state law prohibits the use of devices like cell phones inside active school zones, but as written this ordinance would restrict the use all communication devices while driving within Wichita Falls.
