Saturday, is World Art Day and there will be a garage sale at The Kemp on 1300 Lamar from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. If you want to test your vocabulary skills there is a free earth-themed scrabble tournament on Saturday at the Wichita Falls Public Library. The fun will kick off at 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. and is open to ages 12 and up.

Witnesses alerted Wichita Falls police on Saturday afternoon after seeing a child's hand poking out of the cargo area of a yellow Penske moving truck. Police located the truck outside a Wal-Mart and identified the driver as Dustin Sisk, 32, and his passenger as his wife, 24-year-old Hannah Maland.

Wichita Falls Police responded to United Regional Hospital about a 40-year-old man being treated for life-threatening injuries Sunday around 5:15 p.m. Police said the victim was involved in a disturbance with Kevin Earl Haynes, Jr., 23, in the 1500 block of Polk earlier in the day. During the investigation officers said they believed Haynes, Jr. struck the victim causing him to fall to the ground and hit his head.

More than 90 grams of meth leads to man's arrest

An arrest had been made this month that stems from a search warrant last summer where more than 90 grams of Methamphetamine was found. On June 27, 2016, a search warrant was executed at a home in the 5100 block of Inlet Drive in Wichita Falls where Eric Lee Portier, 36, lived.
