The Wichita Falls-Wichita County Public Health District said they have confirmed four more cases of mumps in adults in Wichita County. Mumps spreads through saliva or mucus from the mouth, nose, or throat when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or talks.

Mechanical issue likely responsible for accident on Southwest Parkway
Just before 2:00 p.m. Wichita Falls Police were called out to the 2600 hundred block of Southwest Parkway for an accident with unknown injuries.

Second suspect arrested in November shooting at 7-Eleven
Wichita Falls Police said on November 8, 2016, at 3:30 p.m. officers were called out to a shooting at the 7-Eleven convenience store in the 1100 block of Central Freeway. Officers were also told that another call coming from the 1800 block of Red Fox Rd. was likely about the suspect vehicle.

An investigation began in February when the Wichita Falls Police Department received a call in reference to the possible physical abuse of the 3-year-old child. While talking to police the reporting person said they had received texts with photos of the child with bruises on her face, neck, and head.

$8,000 reward offered for information on Fort Worth fugitive sex offender
Authorities will pay up to $8,000 for information leading to the capture of David Dale Booth if they get help before the end of June. Booth, 59, is wanted for a parole violation and failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements, according to a news release from the Texas Department of Public Safety.
