Two Graham educators have been recognized as 2018 Region 9 Teacher of the Year

Breann Spivey, an elementary teacher at Graham Elementary has been named 2018 Region 9 Elementary Teacher of the Year and Michelle Lowery, a science teacher at Graham High School has been named Region 9 Secondary Teacher of the Year. The announcement was made on Tuesday at the Regional Awards Luncheon at the Region 9 Education Service Center in Wichita Falls.

White told our Raycom Affiliate News Channel 25 in Waco that Kyle Matthew McCurrin, 28, shot Dennis Palvas, 59, of Waco in the chest outside a home in Abbott Friday night.

Identity Of Murder Suspect Released

The identity of a suspect in the murder of a West man Friday, July 28, has been released by authorities. Kyle Matthew McCurrin, 28, of Wichita Falls, was suspected of killing 59-year-old Dennis Pavlas of West before leading officers on a chase, opening fire on them and then reportedly shooting himself to death before his vehicle crashed.

Suspect in WF gun store robbery pleads guilty

A 24-year-old is facing life in prison after he pleads guilty to the armed robbery of a Wichita Falls gun shop.
