A Texas woman who punished her stepsons by making them throw up or lick a feces-coated toilet was sentenced Thursday to 45 years in prison. Sara Ann Woody, 25, was found guilty of 16 of 26 counts of injury to a child, KFDX-TV reports .

A blood drive was held on Saturday to help Hurricane Harvey victims and honor Lauren Landavazo at the Faith Masonic Lodge in Wichita Falls. The lodge changed the name of their annual event to honor the young girl who was shot and killed on her way home from school last year.

Texas dad jailed after vowing to wear family's 'faces as a mask,' police say
A Wichita Falls man remains in jail on an assault charge after police say he threatened to kill his family and "wear their faces as a mask." According to the Times Record News , Joshua Lee Walles, 27, allegedly assaulted the mother of his two children at gunpoint while she was holding a baby and then threatened to kill the entire family.
