When officers arrived at the scene in the 1300 block of Martin Luther King Blvd they could see Melissa Burnett, 35, yelling and screaming at people in the parking lot. Burnett was detained and officers began to speak with witnesses.

Wichita Falls police say around 11 p.m. Tuesday night, the Gang Task Force Unit and the Tactical Unit stopped a Nissan Maxima in the 1900 block of Hines Boulevard for running a stop sign. Sergeant Maloney, with the Gang Task Force Unit, says officers performed a search of the vehicle after they spotted drug paraphernalia in the car.

A Wichita Falls woman was arrested last week after a 9-year-old boy told officials that she'd lifted him by the ears and hit him with a belt after he tried to hug her, officials said. Nichole Blevins, 32, was booked Monday on a charge of injury to a child, Wichita Falls police said.

A Wichita Falls woman is behind bars following a call to the emergency room at United Regional on Sunday evening. According to WFPD, around 5:24 p.m. officers were dispatched to the hospital where a toddler was being treated for burn injuries.
