On Tuesday the Lake Wichita Revitalization Committee met for the first time since Proposition B for Lake Wichita improvements failed. Members of the committee were shell-shocked when they saw the results come in Saturday night, but added it will not stop them from moving forward and achieving their goals.

Stolen vehicle recovered, man arrested in WF
A man is behind bars and a stolen truck is recovered following a traffic stop on Tuesday afternoon in Wichita Falls. Around 2 p.m. officers were on patrol in the 2100 block of Holliday when they saw a truck they knew was reported stolen on April 29. Police initiated a traffic stop on the corner of Holliday and Galveston.

Kid Cafe gearing up to feed kids this summer
The school year is wrapping up in Wichita Falls but as some kids look forward to summer vacation, others are more worried about getting enough food. The Wichita Falls Area Food Bank is gearing up for another summer of serving meals at local Boys & Girls Clubs.

Major Charma Greens, the Corps Officer for The Salvation Army believes poverty is an issue, that everyone needs to be educated on to prevent getting there. "No matter what kind of job you have, good job, bad job, whatever it is it soaks up all your income," Major Green said.

WFPD: 2 arrested in connection with E. Lincoln shooting
A man and woman have been arrested in connection with a shooting at a home in E. Lincoln that left a man with multiple gunshots wounds. A traffic stop on Wednesday led to Brittany Whittaker, 26, and Colton Hobbs, 20, being taken down to the Wichita Falls Police Department for questioning.

Catholic Charities held their second annual Poverty Summit in Wichita falls. Their goal was to teach social services in this area how to insure their work is helping impoverished people long term.

WF back to the drawing board after municipal complex voted down
Wichita Falls city leaders are trying to figure what to do with their police and fire stations, and city hall after Proposition D for a new Municipal Complex failed. The police department is overcrowded by over 100 people and Fire Station 1 isn't big enough for all their equipment.

United Regional is doing away with the Wichita Falls Residency Program and it has lots of people scared and upset. C.E.O. of United Regional Phyllis Cowling said it was a tough decision, but after the current sponsor school and Community Healthcare Center parted ways, it left them with no choice.

Gas prices continue to climb
The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas in the state of Texas is now $2.63, according to AAA Texas. In Wichita Falls, the price is also up three cents a gallon to an average of $2.57.

The Wichita Falls-Wichita County Public Health District have been receiving an influx of calls from residents who have been bitten by an animal and are concerned with contracting rabies. Wichita Falls Animal Services is informing residents about what to do if they are bitten by a wild or stray animal.

Overnight shooting claims life of man in WF
The Wichita Falls Police Department and the District Attorney's office is investigating following a deadly shooting early Saturday morning. Around 2:30 a.m. officers were dispatched to a home in the 4800 block of Lindale in reference to a burglary of a habitation.

Non-profit holds fundraiser to help homeless vets
A Wichita Falls non-profit held a fundraiser in Iowa Park that took event-goers to the past all to raise money for homeless veterans on Saturday. Frontier Days was the first event of the year for the North Texas Veterans Relief Fund to raise money for Base Camp Lindsey where these tiny homes will go to homeless war heroes.
