According to the Wichita Falls Police Department, a 19-year-old was arrested on Tuesday night for aggravated assault following a disturbance where he ended up being knocked unconscious. Around 9:30 p.m. officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Lancer Circle.

Average gasoline prices across Texas increased 2 cents this week, AAA Texas reported Thursday - but the spike closer to home was the worst in the state, with the average price in Fort Worth-Arlington jumping a nickel and the price in Dallas increasing by 6 cents. The average retail price for a gallon of regular unleaded hit $2.78 this week, with the price in Fort Worth-Arlington being $2.84 and the Dallas price $2.85.

DPS releases name of victim in deadly accident on I-44

Department of Public Safety officials confirmed the woman killed in the accident is Shawn Marie Ramon, 30, of Wichita Falls. Around 12:15 p.m. DPS officials said Ramon was traveling northbound on I-44 when it crossed the grass median and hit head-on with a black SUV and another white SUV that were traveling southbound on I-44.

Stacey Stouard admitted to committing several vehicle burglaries in the southwest side of Wichita Falls, according to police. Jacob Hernandez told detectives he knew the firearms were stolen and had sole them before officers conducted a search warrant on his residence, according to police.

A 17-year old girl with a bold dream was in Wichita Falls Saturday to visit and speak at the Kemp Center for the Arts. Carson, also known by her call-sign Blueberry, has undergone a diverse and intensive series of training programs to prepare for the mission to Mars, which will hopefully take place around 2033.
