Lake Wichita Vietnam War Memorial project hits milestone
The fundraising project began back in July of 2016 by the Major Francis Grice Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. The idea to build this memorial to honor all veterans was brought up to the Lake Wichita Revitalization Committee, who then presented it to the Wichita Falls City Council.

A new restaurant has made its way to the Wichita Falls Farmer's Market in hopes to show off their plan of cooking with only fresh ingredients. Wichita Falls man drowns following incident at Lake Texoma
Oklahoma Highway Patrol officials said Bob Garcia, 69, was anchored in his boat with the engine off on the north side of Wood Island in Oklahoma waters of Lake Texoma around 9:00 a.m. Officials said the anchor came loose and Garcia went into the water near the back end of the boat to check the problem.

Drug bust at local motel lands Wichita Falls man behind bars
Around 11:00 a.m. officers were dispatched to the Motel 6 on Central Freeway in reference to a suspicious person near room 220. A tip stated a black woman was seen putting two large squares of marijuana under the back seat of a black Dodge with a specific license plate.
