Three people have been arrested following a call to the Wichita Falls Police on Monday morning. Around 9:33 a.m. officers were dispatched to the 2300 block of Jasper in reference to a kidnapping and assault.

City leaders consider extending Circle Trail System
On Tuesday morning, Wichita Falls city leaders will debate over whether or not to lay down additional sidewalk that would run along a bridge under Seymour Highway along an abandoned section of railroad and end at the road intersection of Johnson and Barnett. According to the Wichita Falls City Council Agenda, it will cost $2,443,106 for the proposed Circle Trail extension.

Man accused of sexual acts on child
A Wichita Falls man is behind bars accused of sexually assaulting a child. WFPD were dispatched to a home in the 4300 block of Cunningham Drive in reference to a possible sexual assault of a child on Tuesday evening.

Missing man in Wichita Falls found
The search began on Wednesday morning around 10:23 a.m. in the area of Loop 11 and FM 367 at the Texoma Christian Care Center. Cariel Hardin, 76, was last seen walking westbound on FM 367 just west of Loop 11. Police said he was wearing a maroon and gray sweater and black pants.

Help end hunger locally with canned food drive
September is Hunger Action Month and the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank is doing its part to help with the cause. On Friday, September 22 and Saturday, September 23 there will be a drive-thru style food drive to help the many residents in Wichita Falls that go hungry.

Clayton Homes considering plant in Wichita Falls
Right now a manufacturing company is looking at the possibility of coming to Wichita Falls and bringing lot's of jobs with it. In July, Clayton Homes, a business that makes modular homes reached out to the city interested in opening up a plant at the old ATCO building on Burkburnett Road.

Residents find stranger in their bathroom
A man is arrested by the Wichita Falls Police Department after they say he found his way into a stranger's home. Thursday night, officers said they were called out to the 1600 block of Grandview West in reference to a burglary.

Downtown business owners put community over competition
While plans for a grocery store at 922 Indiana in downtown Wichita Falls are being bagged, an old-fashioned soda fountain parlor is still in the works. Tuesday the City Council is expected to make a change to the project's contract since a grocery store is no longer a part of the plans.

Police searching for two missing people
Friday night around 11:55, Wichita Falls Police tried to make a traffic stop of a 2005 black Volkswagen in the area of Central Freeway and North 8th street. The driver of the car refused to stop and sent police on a pursuit and the suspect's vehicle was last seen by officers at the Jacksboro exit.

New grant allows library host STEM courses
The Wichita Falls Public Library hosted "Curiosity day" an event devoted to teaching people about the basic needs for survival, water, food, and shelter. "Our society is becoming more and more technology driven," said Susan Cooper, youth services director for the Wichita Falls Public Library.

Hot weather brings abundance of okra to gardens
People were able to celebrate the end of summer at the Wichita Falls Farmer's Market for okra day Saturday morning. Local farmers say right now, we are experiencing the peak of okra season, and many gardens will be filled with the vegetable.
