Wichita Falls Regional Airport hosts Fur Flying 2.0

Members of the community had the opportunity to save two lives Thursday morning at the Wichita Falls Regional Airport for the Fur Flying 2.0 event. Cortney Schaefer, the airport operations supervisor, said they hosted this event in hope Texomans would come adopt and donate blood.

The YMCA of Wichita Falls started a new project that could become a unique Christmas gift and last for generations. "The wall of stars will be a new display in our fabulous new facility and it will have some children at the bottom of it with stars above the kids," Noel Filer, YMCA mission advancement director, said.

An investigation into the allegations began in December 2016 when a report was made to the Wichita Falls Police Department. The mother of the victim said her daughter has been sexually assaulted by Grady Alex Tettleton, 19. The mother told police the alleged abuse took place during a two month period at the end of 2015 when Tettleton was in close contact with the victim who was 6 to 7 years old at the time.

Family members and friends gathered together on Monday to say goodbye to two people killed in a Wichita Falls house fire last week. Life Church on Seymour Hwy was filled with friends and family members Monday morning to remember and honor the lives of Brian Perez,10, and his great-grandfather Tony Perez, 85. "You could never see one without the other," Laura Faiai, Tony's granddaughter said.

One dead following pedestrian vs. vehicle accident in Wichita Falls

Around 7 p.m. Wednesday night, Robert Wayne Marshal, 63, was crossing Old Windthorst Road at Bandera Boulevard when a car heading north on Old Windthorst Road hit him. Marshal was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, which included head injuries and broken bones.
