Greg Abbott opposition to Houston pastor subpoenas caused them to be withdrawn

Texas Attorney General and gubernatorial candidate Greg Abbot t requested the City of Houston withdraw its subpoenas for pastors' sermons on Oct. 15 and today Mayor Annise Parker announced the city was withdrawing those subpoenas, according to Fox News . Abbott had responded quickly and declared the subpoenas were unconstitutional when Democratic mayor Parker and the Houston City Attorney had issued them demanding copies of five pastors' sermons, personal notes and other communications.
