Wichita Falls, TX - Early Wednesday morning some Texomans were the first passengers to fly out of the newly constructed Wichita Falls Regional Airport. American Eagle flight 3288 headed for Dallas departed Texoma at approximately 6:08 a.m. Newschannel 6 was the only station there covering the historic occasion.

Ramps to be Closed Next Week

The Eastbound Ramp on Highway 82 that leads to U.S. 287/281 South will be closed starting Monday, December 22nd. Also, the Southbound U.S. 287 traffic will be reduced to one lane as the roads lead to the Wichita Falls flyover.

Ryan and his young daughter were thankfully not seriously hurt, but Jacob suffered extensive injuries that will keep him in bed for up to three months before he can even begin rehab.

Man Tries to Rob Pharmacy at Knifepoint

Around 4 a.m., patrol officers with the Wichita Falls Police Department were at United Market Street when they were approached by a store employee advising them of a man armed with a knife that was threatening employees at the pharmacy. Officers, along with store security, approached the pharmacy and located a white male, 26-year-old John Williamson, holding a large knife.

Reports of Gunshots Lead to Drug Arrests

On December 22nd around 10:30 p.m. patrol officers with the Wichita Falls Police Department responded to the 1500 block of Southwest Parkway in reference to vehicles that had been shot by what appeared to be a pellet gun. Officers were able to determine that the shots came from a residential address in the 4700 block of Marsha Lane.
